RE: Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)
Dear Valued Customers and Partners in Business:
As many of you know the CPSIA was passed August 2008 in an effort to address the run of safety issues with children's products and toys. We have always been concerned about safety and will continue to follow guidelines that the CPSIA requires.
Per the CPSIA guidelines, we are adhering to the new law based on the time of when each style will be produced:
Inventory manufactured prior to November 12, 2008:
All of the products in our inventory (and those of our retail partners) were manufactured prior to the CPSIA and its requirements for certification documentation was enacted. This group of products,
- Complies with CPSC requirements
- Were tested by a 3rd party testing facility to comply with ASTM 963 safety standards, and therefore meet the requirement for a reasonable testing program.
- Were tested for lead content and meet the requirements of testing less than 100ppm (effective August 2011)
- Do not require a General Conformity Certificate
- Applies to (all Bink Link): Peas & Carrots, Rodeo, "Candy" Necklace, Surfs Up, Quack, Flower Power, 2 Scoops or 3, Blueberry, and Grape Soda.
Newer styles Crafted April/May 2009 (Bink Link and Fruitabees):
Our newer line of products are marked April/May 2009 production. This line was tested by a credited CPSIA testing facility. The following link includes the Certificate of Conformity as required by CPSIA.
